Ask before you buy. Most of the questions we get are about fit, and most of them we can answer in a sentence: whether a jacket will take a longer sleeve, what the waistband has in reserve, what Very good looks like on that particular cloth.
We answer within two working days, in English, French or German.
If you are asking about a specific garment, send the listing link. If you are asking whether something will fit you, the fastest route by far is to measure the best-fitting jacket or pair of trousers you already own, flat, and send us those figures. We will tell you whether the piece works, including when it does not.
If you have something to sell
Most of what we sell now comes to us on consignment: you keep 60 to 80 per cent of the price and we do the measuring, grading, photography and writing. The terms, the cities we collect in and a short form are on the consignment page, also in French and German. For some pieces we would rather buy outright, and if so we will say so and make an offer.
Either way, send photographs of the label, the interior, the shoulder and any faults, plus a chest and shoulder measurement, and say where you are. We will tell you quickly if it is not for us.
If a listing is wrong
Write, and say which figure. A measurement we published incorrectly is our mistake and we would rather hear about it from you than not at all.
